Emily Saige products launch next month, and I am so excited to share this health, wellness, and beauty line with you. How do you address everyday stresses and worries? Do you work out? Run or Walk? Or are you one to grab a quick breakfast with friends or drinks after work to “blow off” some steam? Do you meditate or practice yoga? These methods are all wonderful for alleviating stress, but they don’t always work to relieve our stress and worry. Let’s face it—life, 2020 especially, has had a way of creating a lot of worry lately! We’re out of our routines and our digestive health and even our hair health are paying for it!

Emily Saige created Calm to help address some of the common causes of stress and known ingredients believed to fight off stress and worry.

Limomene
For over 5,000 years, holistic healers in villages along the banks of the Indus and Ganges rivers of South Asia, have been adding crushed peel from lemons and limes, where Limonene is concentrated (not in the juice of these fruits) to their folk medicines for stress relief, coping with feelings of sadness and to help reach an elevated mood. Limonene is a complementary ingredient to Emily Saige’s Calm.

Citral
Citral is extracted from the leaves and stalks of the lemongrass plant, a native of India and Thailand. Lemongrass oil has a powerful citrus scent and is one of the most popular oils in aromatherapy to help relieve stress and anxiety. Citral has a strong lemon (citrus) odor and has strong antimicrobial qualities. It’s pheromonal effects may also help to ward off pesky bugs and insects. Citral’s long history of naturally helping to relieve stress and anxiety make it a welcome ingredient in Calm.

Linalool (lə-ˈna-lə-ˌwȯl | Noun.)
Linalool, often found in the form of lavender, giving it its lovely aromatic smell and is used widely in traditional folk medicines across all cultures for its natural calming properties. The linalool terpene is known for its antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, sedative, and stress-relieving properties. In some studies, Lavender has been shown to even affect human EEG patterns, decreasing anxiety and bringing out a better mood!

Directions for Use
When taking calm, shake well before each use. Sublingual placement is the fastest way for the CBD to absorb into your system. Emily Saige recommends dosing the drops under your tongue and waiting 30 seconds before ingesting your dose. Calm is indicated for beginning doses of .50ml and May he increased to 1.0ml. Calm may be taken in the morning with or without a meal and again an hour before dinner or bedtime to promote a second of peace and calm.

Storage and Safety
Calm should be kept out of the reach of young children and stored in a cool, dry dark location, away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity. The product should only be used if sealed when purchased. As with any herbal product, pregnant or nursing women and those with a suspected medical condition, or are taking medication should not take Calm before speaking with their practitioner.
